[토플_토스 Speaking]5. 사회이슈 관련 질문

토플과 토스 Speaking에서는 짧은 시간을 준비하고 약30초 ~약 45초를 이야기 하는  방식을 준비하기 위해, 제가 과거에 공부하면 작성한 내용입니다.

부족한 부분이 많이 있으며, 부족한 부분이 있는다는 점을 참조하여 사용하시면 될 것 같습니다.

        I have worked very hard for four years to earn a college degree

        So I felt very proud of myself when I received my diploma during the graduation ceremony.

1. Chance to attend University

Every student should be given the chance to attend university. Do you agree with this opinion? Please include specific examples and details in your explanation.

I definitely disagree with the statement that every student should be given the chance to attend university.

The main reason is that not all students suit academic life or have the ability to do the work required of university graduates. I believe those students should not attend university, but rather have vocational training and learn practical skills that are more suited to their natural abilities.

For example, a person who is good at art, but doesn’t like academic studies, should focus on their art and take practical courses to become an artist or designer, rather than attend university and study academic subjects like art histor

 

2. Negative enffect on society

Computers have had a negative effect on society. Do you agree or disagree with this opinion and why? Include details and examples to support your explanation.

I firmly disagree with the statement that computers have had negative effect on society.

One main reason is that computers have helped professionals in may fields produce better results and be more productive. For example, computers made international trading easier because companies can advertise and order goods using the internet.

Another reason is that computers have also enabled students to gain access to more and better information. So they can develop better skills and learn from more expertise in their chosen fields.

For the reasons I mentioned, I disagree with the statement.

Some people think that television has had a negative effect on teenagers. Others think that It has had a positive effect on teenager. Which view do you agree with and why? Please use specific examples and details in your explanation.

I think that television has had a positive influence in teenager for several reasons.

One main reason is that there are many educational programs that they can learn from. For example, some TV stations broadcast shows that teach students about English, math, and science. Therefore, students can learn not only in the classroom at school, but also at the convenience of their home.

Another reason is that there are family dramas that teach teenagers moral lessons and about family values. These programs help them become better people.

For the reasons I mentioned, television can positively influence teenagers in many ways.

 

3. Compare past and now

Some people believe that our grandparents’ generation enjoyed an easier life, while others think our lives are much easier now. Which life do you think is easier and why?

In my opinion, our grandparents’’ generation had a much easier life than we have now.

One main reason is that we have to compete so hard with everyone else these days just to survive. Kids in our generation spend much time at school and after-school academies until late at night, whereas my grandparents were able to relax and play at that age.

Another reason is that now we need to learn more things because we live in a developed “Information society.” These days we have to study a lot, and read lots of information from books and the internet. On the other hand, my grandparents’ generation didn’t need to do that because society was not so advanced in those days.

For the reasons I mentioned, we have a harder life now than our grandparents did.

 

4. Physical education class

Some people require their students to take physical education classes. Other schools do not require their students to take physical education classes. Which of these two policies do you agree with and why? Include details and examples in your explanation.

I think that schools should require their students to take physical education classes for several reasons.

One main reason is that obesity is a serious problem for students these days since they sit in front of a desk all day Studying. So Physical education classes can help students stay in shape.

Another reason is that physical education classes can help build teamwork and social skills through learning how to play team sports such as volleyball and soccer. These skills will be important and useful when entering the real world.

For the reasons I mentioned, physical education classes should be required.
